Jammu Unlike their counterparts in Kashmir, borderland Rajouri-Poonch people are against the demand for "azadi" and the division of Jammu and Kashmir, said today that representatives appointed by the center of the State.

"The aspirations of the people here in this belt is completely different from that of Kashmir. They are against azadi and division of Jammu and Kashmir. We will raise their requests and suggestions before Government of India (GDI), "the main interlocutor Dileep Padgaonkar told journalists in Rajouri."

Excluding the Kashmir approach, he said that the exercise was not these at all.

"We believe that everyone all the sections, each community, aboard three regions know their requirements, input and aspirations to find a lasting political settlement to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,", he said.

Padgaonkar M M Ansari and Radha Kumar is a tour for two days for the border Rajouri and Poonch districts.

The interlocutors met delegations about 43 in Poonch and 13 delegations Rajouri till today.

"People here are more inclined towards the India." One of the reasons may be that they (people in the district border) have witnessed many wars and suffered. And they have also faced great hardship due to Pakistani fire. I think they are actually people who suffer from the war, "Ansari pointed out."

Most of the delegations which had met were against the division of the State, he said.

"Some raised local grievance outside employment discrimination with the district border issues." Some people whose parents live on the border and whose parents live 'borders irrelevant' required border ? screw screw PoK, "Ansari said."

He denied that confidence-building measures (CBMs) proposed by the Commission have been Kashmir centric and criticized the media for reporting negative.

The old centre information Commissioner stated that confidence-building measures are for people from all regions of the State.

Radha Kumar said that Rajouri and Poonch Doda areas more backward and underdeveloped in Jammu and Kashmir. People have asked Council of development and it will recommend to the Government of the India, she said.

Effort of the Panel would evolve consensus with respect to a political solution to the Kashmir, acceptable to all areas of three of Jammu and Kashmir, she added.
