Iranian State media say funerals were held to 39 people were killed on Wednesday, when suicide bombers targeted Shiite religious ceremony.
IRNA news agency says the that Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammed Najjar led a delegation of high-ranking in a funeral procession in Chahbahar, Friday. News Agency says eight victims were buried in the city of the Southeast, while the bodies of the other victims were transferred to their home province.
The victims were killed in a double attack near a mosque suicide. The faithful had gathered on the site prior to Ashura, one of the most important holy days for Shia Muslims.
Sunni rebels Jundullah - Soldiers of Gold - group claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan.
Thursday, the Iranian authorities have announced the arrest of nine suspects allegedly related to the incident.
